Bates Updates: De-scaling In The Field

Pipe build-up is a common thing for any property owner to run into. There are a number of things that can slowly build up on the inside of your pipes, including calcium deposits, scale or even foliage. Smaller blockages catch onto this build-up, which causes more severe blockages and further damage to the pipes.

It can get to a stage where the damage to the pipe is so severe that the whole system needs to be replaced completely, a situation which can be not only lengthy but incredibly expensive. It is definitely a situation that any property owner would hope to avoid.

The team at Bates Environmental recently encountered such a job, where the client was worried that they were going to have to pay out huge costs in order to replace their stack pipe, which was completely blocked with scale.

The replacing of this stack pipe meant that they would have to remove kitchen cupboards and tiles as well as bathroom cupboards and tiles.

The team members at Bates Environmental are regularly striving for excellence in their field and have ongoing investments in new technologies that can make life easier for not only the client but the team itself. We pour resources into training with these technologies as well as the necessary equipment.

Just two hours after the Bates Environmental team arrived at the site, they were able to utilise these new skills and technologies to clear the stack pipe completely of scale.
