A mop in a drain?
Here at Bates Environmental, we do everything in our power to unclog and unblock the toughest of drains. Over all the years of our service, we have come across some interesting things which cause blockage in drains and pipes. Most recently, one of the strangest things we have found in a 110m sewage pipe was a mop head! That’s a new one - even for us! And now, because of our speedy service, this customer will have unobstructed drains once again.
Finding strange things in drains isn't as uncommon as you would expect! One of them being a Mini Cooper that was found in the London sewers! Well... half of one to be exact! In 2014, during a widespread clearout of the London sewer systems, one of the lines was clogged by half a Mini Cooper. When it was removed, Thames Water stated that it was in terrible condition, claiming it could be decades old. How did it end up there? Nobody seems to know!
